This is carried out by a trained specialist at your home covering much greater detail than either the Self Assessment or Homecoach Assessment. The assessor will spend a few hours at your home measuring in detail the attributes that contribute to the comfort, health and performance of your home. The assessor will calculate your home’s certified Homestar rating and provide you with a certificate of assessment that you will be able to use in your advertising when selling or renting.

Interested in being a Homestar Assessor?

A Homestar Assessor will have a high level of technical knowledge and an understanding of building science. Certain levels of skill and experience are required but if you have already trained as a HERS, EDA or HomeSmart assessor or you are a trained building professional, becoming a Homestar Assessor might be for you. Training includes a one-day technical training course and exam focused on the technical detail required for certified assessments.
